She also volunteered her time at the election booth for Little Grant Township. Wilma was a member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church and it’s Ruth Circle, American Legion Auxiliary, Grant Regional Auxiliary, Merry Mixers 4-H, card club, and served as a superintendent at the Grant County Fair since 1982. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed mowing, watching the birds, gardening, drinking coffee, feeding her cats and ranger rides around her farm. In 1998, Wilma began employment at Gasser True Value in Lancaster until she retired in 2017. They retired from farming in 1998, and Wilma continued to live in the same home for over 65 years. Dan is also survived by his girlfriend Cynthia Clements of Lancaster and his 4 siblings: Claudette (Doug) Bendorf of Lancaster Michael Rice of Lancaster Mary Gallinger (Dave Oyen) of Lancaster Jim Rice (Nate Spielman) of Milwaukee. Dan also had 4 grandchildren: Connor, Liam, Nylah, and Josh he was an uncle of many nephews and nieces. Dan is the father of 6 kids: Ashley Rice (JayJay Clark) of Lancaster Dakota Rice of Lancaster Adam Rice (Kristen Cook) of Lancaster Daniel Rice (Haylie Williams) of Potosi Jasmine Rice & Montana Rice of Lancaster. Dan was a huge supporter of the Lancaster Flying Arrows Wrestling team and was big into drawing cartoon characters and faces. He had a passion for lifting weights and loved watching the Dallas Cowboys. Dan was a loving and caring man who enjoyed spending time with family, going camping, and having some cold beer. Dan worked for LCC in Lancaster, Nu Pak in Boscobel, and most recently for Saputo Goat Cheese Factory in Lancaster. Dan was born June 14, 1962, at Lancaster Hospital he is the son of Claudie & Eileen (Moore) Rice of Lancaster. “Dan” Rice, age 60, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer.
